The following books are intended to help children discuss issues regarding bedwetting and may help get them ready to make the commitment necessary to partake in a more aggressive solution.
Dry All Night.

This book is really two books in one. Part 1 is devoted to helping parents understand bedwetting and Part 2 is devoted to helping children overcome bedwetting.

The first part is a good overview and is full of practical advice which may help some parents to cope better with their child's bedwetting.

The second part of the book begins with an introduction which sets the stage by telling a story about a girl named Erin who could not stay overnight at her friend Brandi's house because Erin is concerned about her ability to remain dry during the night.

Her mother gives her a picture book (which is essentially DRY ALL NIGHT) about a boy named Christopher who meets a magic camel named Dan who explains to him how his bladder works and some reasons why he is having trouble staying dry at night. Dan leads Christopher on a trip through Dryland where he learns to imagine himself in different situations while asleep and to give himself cues and clues so that he will remain dry at night.

Dry Days Wet Nights.

This is a very good book for children who are struggling with the ability to stay dry at night. It is a good bedtime story that is written by Maribeth Boelts and richly illustrated by Kathy Parkinson.

In "Dry Days Wet Nights", Little Bunny is troubled by his inability to stay dry through the night. He wants to be grown up but wearing diapers and wetting at night makes him feel like a baby. Mamma Bunny and Papa Bunny assure him that he will grow out of it if he is patient and that his "body is not ready" to be dry at night.

Accidental Lily.

I think a lot of little girls will enjoy the adventures of Lily. Sally Warner writes in a very contemporary style and seems to have an idea of the kinds of experiences today's children might relate to.

"Accidental Lily" deals with the issue of bedwetting and is the reason I purchased the book. Lily is troubled by her periodic wetting episodes and is faced with the prospect of accepting an invitation to a birthday sleep-over at a friends house. This is a very real problem many bedwetters must confront.
