HAVE FUN while you learn the essential Classical and Romantic Composers, their works, primary musical themes and biographical information.
This 52 card deck can be used to play traditional card games as well as the unique "Composers Card Game." Rules included are based on the well known "Authors Card Game."
Music teachers will like the fact that the "Classical and Romantic" composers are arranged chronologically through the deck which reinforces their historical position. Bach is the ACE, Beethoven is the 5th CARD and Greig is the KING. There are portraits of 13 composers featured together with titles of four musical works from each. The theme of each of the works is represented in musical notation at the top of each card. When players collect the cards related to a specific composer they can read a biographical sketch that reads across all four cards.
This is a game that can be enjoyed by all age groups, in many ways, and on several intellectual levels. Younger students can play a version of GO FISH as they learn the composer's names, while older players can play may more complex and sohisticated versions of the game invloving all of the music information included. It is a wonderful teaching aid, prize or gift item for students of any instrument.
Though this game is available through other music mail order gift catalogs and other music gift shops we are proud to say that the game was edited by Julie Lovison's brother Daniel Sailor and is full of many musical "insights" for those who are willing to look.
